Effective date: August 18, 2026
Tideo (“the app”) is developed by Cronime Ltd. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: your timers, presets and settings never leave your device. Two things do leave it — the text you choose to type into the optional AI feature, and anonymous usage events we ask you about first. Neither is linked to you, because Tideo has no accounts.
Timer configurations, presets, countdown events, reminders, onboarding state, daily-streak history, and preferences are saved locally on your device. We have no servers and no access to this data. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Tideo includes an optional feature that turns a typed phrase (for example “20 minute ab workout”) into timers, reminders, or countdowns. When you use it — and only after you accept a one-time consent notice — the text you typed is sent to Google’s Gemini service through Firebase AI Logic, solely to generate the requested routine. The result is shown to you for review before anything is created.
Tideo contains no advertising network. The app does not request the App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) — the analytics library is built without it, so it is not a setting we could change by accident.
Tideo uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record anonymous usage and purchase events — which features are opened, and when a subscription starts. We use this to see which parts of the app are worth improving and which adverts bring people to Tideo.
What is not sent: anything you type. Your sentences in “Describe it”, your timer names, your notes and your presets never appear in an analytics event. No account, email address or name is attached, because Tideo has none. No advertising identifier is used and no profile is built for advertising.
We ask before we collect anything. On first launch Tideo shows a one-time screen explaining this and asking whether you want to share. Until you answer, nothing is collected — not a single event. The choice is remembered.
You can change your mind at any time: Settings → Analytics → Share anonymous usage data. Turning it off stops collection immediately.
Tideo Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly), processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; earlier one-time purchases remain valid for life. We do not receive or store your payment information. Your entitlement is verified on your device via Apple’s StoreKit, and you can cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store settings.
Timer-completion notifications and spoken announcements are generated locally on your device. Notification content is not uploaded anywhere.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
We hold no personal data about you: everything the app stores lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app. Text sent to the optional AI feature is processed to generate your routine and is not retained by us (we have no servers); Google’s handling is described in its privacy policy linked above.
We will update this page if our data practices change. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
